Genesis 1:26-31
On the very first page of the Bible, we learn that God created us to work. “God blessed them and said to them, “Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky and over every living creature that moves on the ground” (Genesis 1:28).
Work existed before the fall. It isn't a result of a broken world; it's what we are on this earth to do. Work isn't just the thing you get paid for; it's all the ways you subdue the earth.
Being a parent and raising the next generation is work.
Going to school is work.

What are you giving your energy and effort to throughout the week? What do you want to see God do through your work this year?
Prayer
Father, you created me to work. This year, I want to devote all my work to you. I pray that you bless all my efforts, open doors for new opportunities, provide for me and my family, and give me fresh motivation in Jesus' name, Amen.
