We are honored to invite you and your family to join us at Red Rocks Church for our special Child Dedication ceremony. This event is a public commitment before God, your church community, family, and friends, a heartfelt declaration of your desire to lead and raise your child in the ways of Jesus.

Date of Child Dedication: Saturday, May 17, 2025 at 10am.
Registration Opens: Saturday, April 12, 2025
Registration Closes: Wednesday, May 14, 11:59pm

Guest Limit: We’d love for you to invite grandparents, aunts, uncles, friends, there’s no limit to the number of guests you can bring! We have plenty of room and want everyone special to your family to celebrate this meaningful moment. Note: While the registration form will only let you register up to 10 guests, feel free to bring more. Register your first 10 guests, and rest assured there’s room for everyone to attend!

Duration: The ceremony is approximately 30-40 minutes long
Attire: There is no formal dress code, dress as you feel comfortable, although many choose to dress up a bit more than for regular Sunday service.

What is the age limit on Child Dedication?

While Red Rocks does not have a set age requirement, most children dedicated are between 0 to 5 years old. Many families also choose to dedicate older children because:

The parent(s) are new believers and their children were not dedicated as infants.
They wish to include an older child during a dedication service for their younger child.

What is the difference between Child Dedication and Infant Baptism?

Child Dedication is a covenant where parents commit to raise their child in a Christ-like manner. At Red Rocks Church, we believe baptism is a conscious decision made later in life, typically when a child is around ten years old or older, after they have chosen to follow Jesus.

How does the ceremony work?

Upon arrival, you will be greeted into the lobby, and directed to find your personalized covenant - take that with you to your seat.
After a brief introduction by Crystal, our Associate Kid's Pastor, Eric will give a short sermon and encouragement.
A special prayer time will then be offered for families and friends to pray over and sign the covenant.
Following the ceremony, enjoy refreshments and a chance to fellowship with family and friends.
A photographer will be on hand to capture this precious moment; family portraits will be available in a few weeks.

How many people can I invite?

Invite as many guests as you’d like, there’s plenty of room! The registration form only lets you list up to 10 guests, but feel free to bring more.

How long does the dedication last?

The ceremony is designed to be a meaningful yet brief celebration, lasting about 30 minutes.

What should we wear?

There is no strict dress code. Feel free to wear what makes you comfortable, though many families choose to dress a little more formally than usual.
